Dr. Glynn Skerratt

What do you do?

I'm an Enterprise Reader at Staffordshire University, working in the Science Faculty there.  I'm a Chartered Chemist, a Chartered Scientist and a Chartered Environmentalist.  I'm also a Member of the rather lengthily titled Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management [CIWEM] and a Fellow of the somewhat snappier Royal Society of Chemistry [RSC].

I spent around 10 years teaching at postgraduate level on the university's web-based eLearning programmes and awards - developing and delivering modules on subjects such as environmental policy/legislation/regulation, water and wastewater treatment, sustainable business development and air and land contamination. I also train, consult and carry out applied research on behalf of the university.

You can find out more about the e-learning stuff by clicking over to the University site here.

More recently, I've been writing a number of online water technology continuing professional development training units, delivered in conjunction with CIWEM. If you want to learn more about drinking water or wastewater treatment, something with plenty of pictures and clear explanation of terms and processes, then check out this page on the CIWEM site.
