Dr. Glynn Skerratt

What do you do?

I'm a Principal Lecturer at Staffordshire University working in the Science Faculty there.  I'm a Chartered Chemist, a Chartered Scientist and a Chartered Environmentalist.  I'm also a Member of the rather lengthily titled Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management [CIWEM] and I teach at postgraduate level on web-based eLearning programmes and awards - developing and delivering modules on subjects such as environmental policy/legislation/regulation, water and wastewater treatment, sustainable business development and air and land contamination.

I also train, consult and carry out applied research on behalf of the university, and I help to promote work-based learning within the Applied Sciences Programme Area.

You can find out more about the e-learning stuff by clicking over to the University site here and checking the courses towards the bottom of the linked listing - I deliver modules on most of these.

I've also written a number of online water technology continuing professional development training units that I deliver in conjunction with CIWEM. If you want to understand something about drinking water or wastewater treatment, something with plenty of pictures and clear explanation of terms and processes, then check out this page on the CIWEM site.
